- Pierre "Duke" Duffourc, age 80, of Austin passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, October 17, l929.
Duke was a member of the American Legion, Post 83 and the Detroit Motion Picture Association. As a Staff Sgt in the U.S. Air Force, he served as a Military Policeman. Later in life he was employed by Southern Union Gas.
Survivors are his wife, Ann Struhall Duffourc; son, Donald Louis Duffourc and wife Jennifer; grandsons, Laine Duffourc and wife Jennifer, Trenton Duffourc and Dylan Duffourc;great-granddaughter, Elisa Duffourc; sister, Elizabeth Riley, Salinas, CA; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special thanks to Trenton Duffourc for his love and care.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Harrell Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
